Sakina is a dhikr, prayer time, Qibla, dua, and nearby mosque finder app published by Manar Global Solutions.

Summary

Data Stored On Device

Sakina stores app preferences and worship progress locally, including dhikr counts and selected targets, daily adhkar checklist progress, prayer tracker marks, feature toggles, theme choice, language choice, reminder settings, Adhan audio settings, favorite mosques, and optional local mosque correction notes.

This data remains on the device until the user resets it, exports it, clears app data, or uninstalls the app.

Location

Sakina asks for location permission so it can calculate local prayer times, show Qibla direction, and search for nearby mosques.

Nearby mosque search may use latitude and longitude to request nearby mosque results from OpenStreetMap/Overpass API providers. When the user chooses navigation, Sakina opens the selected mosque in the user's installed map application.

Notifications And Adhan

Sakina uses notification and alarm permissions for prayer reminders. It may use foreground media playback, vibration, and audio settings to play the selected Adhan at prayer time. Adhan audio and volume behavior can be adjusted in the app.

Advertising

Sakina uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Ads may appear on selected utility screens, such as settings, but ads should not appear during active dhikr or Worship Mode.

Google/AdMob may process data such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, network information, approximate location inferred by Google, diagnostic information, and ad interaction data according to Google's advertising policies.

Analytics

Sakina includes Firebase Analytics. Analytics may process app interactions, diagnostic information, device information, approximate location inferred by Google services, and identifiers handled by Firebase/Google Analytics. This is used to understand app usage and improve reliability.

Sharing

Sakina does not require a login and does not sell personal data. Data may be processed by third-party services only when needed for app functionality, maps/navigation, mosque lookup, analytics, or advertising.

Data Deletion

Users can reset local progress in the app settings. Users can also clear app data or uninstall the app from Android settings. Sakina does not currently create a cloud account.
